Modern Indian history

why Surendranath Banerjee dismissed from Civil services by British?

“Surendranath Banerjee” was the second Indian(first being Satyendranath Tagore) to qualify the Indian Civil Service examinations and he was soon dismissed for making a minor judicial error. He went to England to appeal his discharge, but was unsuccessful because, he felt, of racial discrimination. He would return to India bitter and disillusioned with the British.

We can say it is because of (British) politics. He was brilliant writer, orator and talented. As he was free and independent thinker , his superiors(english men) couldn’t digest it and got him unjustly removed. An Indian being so competitive is the reason(i.e racial supremacy/domination is the reason)
