What Is meant by Fundamental Right ?

These are the rights given to citizens against the state. These rights , defined in Part III of the Constitution, applied irrespective of race, place of birth, religion, caste, creed, or gender.

Fundamental rights are basic rights given to an individual to ensure a life with freedom,dignity and equality for an individual.They are given to the citizens against arbitrary action of the state and provide an environment where he can utilise his potential to the fullest and help in individual growth and growth of nation as a whole.
